F Secure Antivirus provides a basic security for the pc, as it only has basic features. It offers malware scanning and protection from malware. None of the F Secure products offer an integrated firewall, which is a major drawback. A thirty-day trial can be downloaded from its official website for all the products. The  Secure antivirus comes with a deep guard monitoring setting, where the program allows the user to review quarantined files.

It allows you to run a full system scan or a quick scan. It includes a separate clean up tool for rootkits , that has to be run manually from the settings and take minutes to complete. It also offers scheduled scanning options -weekly, daily or monthly. In the tool section, you can check the history log, identify sensitive files, and review quarantined files. The interface is easy and minimalistic in F Secure Antivirus Security. However, none of these products have additional features such as file shredder, file decryption, wifi protection, bank or browsing protection.

F- Secure Total and F-Secure Safe offers browsing protection, ransomware protection, banking protection, and family rules. For additional features such as web protection, banking protection, Virtual Private Network(VPN)and password manager, additional tools will have to be bought or downloaded.F-Secure Antivirus Security has a user-friendly, minimalistic interface, that allows users to easily navigate through configurations and settings. The antivirus protects your system from malware, viruses, trojan horses and other infection.F Secure Total and F Secure Safe offer protection against ransomware, which is missing in F Secure Antivirus.

In AV lab tests conducted in 2017, F-Secure scored 100% in protection against zero-day threat, web threats and email threats. In AV-Comparatives, it scored, 99.9, and scored 99.93 in online protection rate and 98.9 in online detection rate. These results proved the antivirus to be efficient and effective. Since the antivirus is simple and basic in terms of features, it is super light on the computer system. In F-Secure Antivirus Security, scanning takes minutes to perform. The interface is minimalistic to a point where there are only two options- scan only known file types or scan inside compressed files. For other features such as browsing protection, web protection, banking protection, VPN(Virtual Private Network), password manager, separate security tools are available from F-Secure. Technical support is only available on weekdays from 9 to 5, customers can contact the company through a toll-free number. Users can also communicate with the company through emails. Users can also submit new malware samples they find.
