Kaspersky announces Cybersecurity Competition Secur’IT Cup 2019 for students
Kaspersky International Cybersecurity Competition is back
with the Secur’IT Cup
2019for students where the overall global winner will get Rs
6.9 lakh.
The international competition aims to provide a platform for
students to showcase their ideas and engage in peer learning.
Students from across the Asia Pacific (APAC) region aged
between 18-24 are invited to join this cybersecurity competition.
The company
said, students have to present their projects on solving cybersecurity
issues in the following areas- machine learning in cybersecurity, financial
security, and automotive security. They will be presenting their ideas or
project to a panel of Kaspersky experts, university delegates and local
partners.
For students not based in Singapore, presentations can be
made via a pre-recorded video presentation.
The event will be held on 11th July 2019 at the Singapore
Institute of Technology – Nanyang Polytechnic.
The first prize includes a grant of $10,000, second prize is
a trip to the Kaspersky Security Analyst Summit 2020 in Europe and the third
prize is a mentorship session with experts from Kaspersky and also free access
to Kaspersky Cybersecurity
Certification Fundamentals.
The global finale will be held in Europe during the
Kaspersky Partner Summit 2019 later this year and only winners of the local
rounds, APAC being one of them, will be participating in the final round. The overall global winner or the winning team
will receive a grant of US$10,000 (Around 6.9 lakh rupees).
